Peabody To Induct 15 Members Of Twice-Delayed Hall Of Fame Class

The new members were part of the Class of 2020, which had its induction ceremony postponed twice because of the COVID-19 health crisis.

PEABODY, MA — Fourteen former Peabody Veterans Memorial High School athletic stars and one coach will get their due following two years of delayed inductions into the school's athletic Hall of Fame next month.

The induction ceremony, which was postponed for two years because of the COVID-19 health crisis, will be on Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Higgins Middle School. A reception will be held following the ceremony with hors d'oeuvres, coffee and cold drinks.

The Hall of Fame class will also be introduced at the halftime of the Peabody vs. Revere football game on Sept. 9. Kickoff for the game is 7 p.m.

Hall of Famers must be 10 years post-graduation.

This year's inductees are James McDonald ('67, basketball, football), Gary Roltsch ('70, football, track), Dick Vose ('71, cross country, track), Mark Coan ('72, cross country track), Davis Scribner ('80, football, hockey, lacrosse), Dave Lebrun ('84, football, basketball, baseball), Mark Cone ('89, football, lacrosse), Scott Eiseman ('94, football, lacrosse), Caleb Pelger ('01, football, track), Ray Lamonica ('01, football, baseball), Kim Lane ('01, softball, basketball, soccer), Melissa Macchi ('04, basketball, soccer), Justine Hartigan ('07, soccer, track, tennis), Tawny Palmieri ('08, softball, basketball, field hockey) and Coach Lisa Keene.

Tickets can be purchased until Sept. 1 by sending a check for $30 per ticket, along with names for
each ticket purchased.

Tickets will not be mailed out. A list of tickets purchased by name will be at the door for check-in purposes.

Tickets will not be sold at the door.
