Peabody Man, 4 Lynn Males, To Be Arraigned In Lynn Drive-By Shooting

PEABODY, MA — A Peabody man was set to be arraigned in Lynn District Court on Thursday as he and five other males face murder charges in the Sept. 2023 drive-by shooting in Lynn that killed two men and injured five others.

Justin Alba, 25, of Peabody, was arrested in Londonderry, NH on July 19 on a warrant and fugitive warrant for two counts of murder, four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily harm.

He and five Lynn males, including two juveniles, are accused of being involved in the drive-by shooting that killed Jandriel Heredia, 21, of Revere, and Abraham Diaz, 25, of Lynn.

Leonardo Espinoza, 15, of Lynn will be arraigned in Lynn District Court on Friday. Darwin Batista, 20, of Lynn, and Abel Severino Reyes, 21, of Lynn, will be arraigned in Lynn District Court on Aug. 2.

Carlos Ramirez Corniel, 16, of Lynn, was previously arraigned on Thursday, July 18 in Lynn District Court.

The sixth suspect facing murder charges is not yet in custody.

"When gun violence threatens our communities and our neighborhoods," Essex County DA Paul Tucker said in announcing the charges on July 19, "we will continue to work together to protect the families and individuals we serve in Essex County, and to bring to justice those that commit any and all violent crimes."
