Peabody Man Arrested for Threats at Knifepoint

Thursday, June 14

• At 2:27 p.m., a detail officer requested another officer speak with employees at after he observed a man hiding electronic equipment in the driveway, near Catholic Charities. The man had been on a bicycle prior to hiding a portable CD player and portable radio. Police did not find the man but took possession of the items. It was unclear whether the man was hiding them or just didn't want to carry them on his bicycle anymore.
• At 4:21 p.m., police arrested Richard J. Nolet, 66, 30 Shore Drive., Peabody, and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after he threatened another man with a knife.
• Police arrested Nicholas O. Meserve, 20, 18 Buxton St., Danvers, and charged him with larceny over $250 and receiving stolen property over $250 after stealing a bicycle from

Friday, June 15

• A resident called the police at 2:13 a.m. about teens tipping over trash barrels on Lowell Street. Police did not locate the group.
• At 8:50 a.m., a bird caught between two high tension wires was reported on Keys Drive. PMLP was notified.
