Peabody Man Charged with Assault on a Police Officer

The following information was provided by the Peabody Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it doesn't indicate a conviction.

The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from May 29-30.

Wednesday, May 29

  • 2:48 p.m. a caller reported a two-car motor vehicle accident on Russell Street. One driver was injured and transported to Lahey North. Neither vehicles were towed. 
  • 5:48 p.m. a gas attendant reported that a female customers tried taking money out of his hand on Lowell Street. 
  • 7:06 p.m. a caller reported an assault on Magnolia Terrace. Police responded to the incident and eventually charged a man with assault on a police officer. Police arrested Devin Tremblay, of 10 Magolia Terrace. Tremblay was arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property under $250 and assault on a police officer with a dangerous weapon. 

Thursday, May 30

  • 6:46 p.m. graffiti was reported on Spring Pond Road.
  • 1:48 a.m. a caller reported that Gardner Street was flooded. An officer checked the area and reported a water main break. The DPW was requested. The Water Department staff responded. 
  • 9:05 a.m. a caller reported that a female may have stolen the keys to the Gulf Station on Newbury Street. 
  • 9:11 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Centennial Drive. A back injury was reported. 
  • 10:36 a.m. a caller reported that his backdoor was open and damaged when he got back to his house on Madison Avenue. He reported that only prescription pills were taken.
