Peabody Man Wins $1 Million On Scratch Ticket

PEABODY, MA — A Peabody man was the first $1 million winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery's new "$1,000,000 Winter Ice" instant game. Kevin Carr purchased the winning ticket at One Stop Mart on Aborn Street in Peabody and chose a one-time payment of $650,000, before taxes. The store will receive $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.

Carr plans to use some of his winning to buy a new truck. There are still two, unclaimed $1 million prizes in the game.
