Peabody Murder Site Deemed 'Unfit' For Humans

Last week, the Board of Health issued an order to 19 Farm Ave. for violations like blood residue on the floors and walls.

PEABODY, MA – The Peabody Board of Health issued an Emergency Condemnation and Order to Vacate to the owners of 19 Farm Ave.: The home where two bodies were found on Feb. 18.

The owners – Stanley Pikul, Jr., and Lucy Pikul – were delivered the order at their residence on Farm Avenue.

An inspection of the property revealed several violations, including blood residue on the floors, walls, and furniture. The inspection was conducted on Feb. 22, and the order noted that the conditions could endanger occupants of the property. It also found the dwelling unfit for human habitation.

All occupants were ordered to vacate, and the owners were ordered to correct the violations. The order implies the residence has one occupant.

Other violations included no hot water, no heat, and doors incapable of locking. The order noted that home's walls had larges holes and crumbling plaster, its windows were broken, and there were bags of garbage strewn throughout the home.

Police found the bodies of Mark Greenlaw and Jennifer O'Conner at 19 Farm Ave. on Saturday, Feb. 18, after a woman ran from the house and was taken to the Danvers State Police barracks. Both suspects have been taken into custody, but little is known about the murders.
