Peabody Murders: Police Activity Closed Route 128 Lane In Peabody
Route 128 North closed one lane for police activity in Peabody on Friday afternoon. The lane has since reopened.

PEABODY, MA – Police activity closed one lane on Route 128 North in Peabody near I-95 Friday afternoon. Massachusetts State Police confirmed around 2 p.m. that the closure was related to a search in the Peabody murder investigation but didn't give specific information on the police activity.

Mass. Transportation tweeted around 1 p.m. that the right lane was closed for police activity, and State Police confirmed that the lane was still closed around 2 p.m. It reopened shortly after, according to a tweet from State Police.
