Peabody Overdose, Crash Leaves Eight Hospitalized
Peabody police issued a summons for a Lynn man who fled the scene of the three-car crash on foot.

PEABODY, MA — Eight people were hospitalized after a three-car crash in Peabody Monday, and police were looking for a suspect that ran from the scene. The crash occurred around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Lowell and King Streets. When police arrived they found a passenger in one of the cars showing signs that they had overdosed.
Peabody police identified the driver that fled as Jeffrey Driscoll, 40, of 12 Blake Street in Lynn. Police issued a summons for Driscoll on charges of operating under the influence of drugs, wreckless operation of a motor vehicle and operating after suspension.
None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
