Peabody Residents Win Big In Recent Lottery Games

PEABODY, MA — Several Peabody residents have won big prizes in recent weeks by playing Massachusetts Lottery games.

Jose Almeida won a $2 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” instant game. He chose the cash option and received a $1.3 million, one-time payout, before taxes. He purchased his ticket in Somerville.

Keith Chamness of Peabody has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” instant game on a ticket purchased in Lynn. Chamness chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000, before taxes.

Maria Moura won $10,000 in a MassCash drawing in December. Her winning ticket was purchased in Stoneham.
