Peabody Snow Emergency Parking Ban To Expire At Noon
The snow emergency parking ban took effect at midnight amid predictions of up to six inches of snow from the late-winter storm.

PEABODY, MA — The Peabody snow emergency parking ban declared Monday night amid forecasts of up to six inches of snow from a late-winter storm was set to be rescinded as of noon.
While some areas of the state met snowfall expectations from the storm overnight, Essex County fell well short with the National Weather Service citing official measurements of 1 inch of snow in Beverly and 0.8 inches of snow in Danvers.
Peabody Public Schools joined most other districts on the North Shore and called a "snow day" on Tuesday.

A winter weather advisory remained in effect for Eastern Massachusetts until 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. Slippery road conditions are expected to persist and impact the evening commute.
In Greater Boston and coastal locations, daytime additional snow totals could range from 1 to 2 inches.

The forecast for Tuesday night calls for the possibility of rain between 11 p.m. and midnight, followed by patchy fog before 2 a.m. Low of around 30 degrees.
There's a slight chance of rain Wednesday with a high near 43.
