Peabody Traffic Alert: U.S. Senior Open Road Closure

PEABODY, MA – Peabody Police announced that Forest Street will be closed from Farm Avenue to the Route 128 access road for the U.S. Senior Open at the Salem Country Club.

The closure will go from Monday, June 26, to Sunday, July 2, from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. According to the police statement, traffic will be able to access Forest Street from the Route 128 access road and turn right only heading eastbound. All westbound traffic on Forest Street will be directed left onto the Route 128 access Road. There will be no access to Forest Street at Farm Avenue except for vehicles with approved event credentials (there will be very few of these).

Road signs alerting drivers to the detour will be posted to direct traffic to Centennial Drive, First Avenue, Jubilee Drive, and Farm Avenue back to Forest.
