Peabody Veterans Memorial High Fall Sports Tryouts Set To Begin
Football conditioning practice starts on Aug. 19 with the remaining sports on Aug. 22.

PEABODY, MA — A large pumpkin-spice iced coffee and the return of high school athletes to the playing fields for the first practices of the season are the surest signs that fall is nearly upon the North Shore.
For Peabody Veterans Memorial High student-athletes, the fun begins on Aug. 19 when the first varsity football conditioning practice kicks off at 6 p.m. on the PVMHS turf field.
Most of the rest of the athletic teams begin practice on Aug. 22 with the golf team meeting at The Meadows at Peabody at 1:30 p.m., the boys and girls cross country teams meeting at the track at 8 a.m., the field hockey team meeting at 10 a.m. on the turf field, the boys soccer team meeting for the first of a double session at 11 a.m. at the Kennedy School and the girls soccer team meeting at 5 p.m. at the DonA and the volleyball team meeting at 9:15 a.m. in the gymnasium with the freshmen players meeting at noon.

The first cheer practice of the season is on Aug. 23 in the gym starting at 5 p.m.
