Peabody Voter's Guide: Nov. 8 State, Presidential Election

PEABODY, MA – This election day, you have a lot of decisions to make: Sheriff, state representative, and the Oval Office. You handle who to vote for, we'll give you everything you need to get into the voting booth.

What's on the ballot:

• Congressman Seth Moulton is running unopposed.
• Richard A. Baker, R, of West Newbury, is running against incumbent Eileen R. Duff, D, of Gloucester for Governor's Council.
• Senator Joan B. Lovely is running unopposed.
• Representative Thomas P. Walsh is running unopposed.
• Kevin F. Coppinger, D; Anne M. Manning-Martin, R; Mark E. Archer, I; and Kevin J. Leach, I, are all running for Essex County Sheriff. Read more about them – and what the Essex County sheriff does – here.

When to vote:

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8. If you make the line by 8 p.m., you're allowed to vote.

Some people chose to vote early this year. Massachusetts allowed early voting for the first time from Oct. 24 to Nov. 4.

An accepted form of ID (in case you are asked, but according to the Secretary of the Commonwealth's office you're allowed to vote without it) and your patriotic spirit.
