Peabody Boy, 13, Dies After Being Hit By Car On Route 114

PEABODY, MA — Police say a 13-year-old Peabody boy died after being hit by a car while riding his bike on Route 114 Tuesday night. The accident occurred around 8:50 p.m. near the Walgreen's Store at 242 Andover Street. The 19-year-old driver who was driving the car stayed on scene and is cooperating with Massachusetts State Police, who are investigating.

No charges have been filed. The victim was unconscious when rescue workers arrived and transported to a Salem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The incident followed a fatal car crash on Route 1 in Danvers earlier on Tuesday. The single-car crash occurred just north of Route 62 in Danvers
