Prescription Pills Stolen in House Break-In on Madison Avenue

The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from May 30-31.

Thursday, May 30

  • 2:40 p.m. a two-car motor vehicle accident with injuries was reported on Lowell Street. One operator was transported to Lahey North. One vehicle was towed. 
  • 3:43 p.m. a caller reported a car break in on Salem Street. A GPS navigation system and $100 was taken from the vehicle. 
  • 4:40 p.m. a accident involving a police cruiser was reported on Ellsworth Road. 
  • 8:08 p.m. shoplifting was reported at Walgreens on Main Street. 
  • 8:45 p.m. assault and battery was reported at Paddy Kelley's on Washington Street. 
  • 9:03 p.m. a larceny was reported on Martha Terrace. The caller's son's scooter was stolen. The scooter was worth $300.

Friday, May 31

  • 1:48 a.m. a caller reported that Gardner Street was flooded. An officer checked the area and reported a water main break. The DPW was requested. The Water Department staff responded. 
  • 9:05 a.m. a caller reported that a female may have stolen the keys to the Gulf Station on Newbury Street. 
  • 9:11 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Centennial Drive. A back injury was reported. 
  • 10:36 a.m. a caller reported that his backdoor was open and damaged when he got back to his house on Madison Avenue. He reported that only prescription pills were taken.
