School Board Discusses Busing Students to Prom
The Peabody School Board discussed busing students to prom as a safe alternative to taking limos or driving themselves.
The Peabody School Board recently discussed the possibility of offering students affordable transportation to the prom by way of school bus, according to the Salem News.
Board member Ed Charest brought up the issue because he thought it would make the night much safer if students were looked after going to and from the prom.
“I know a lot of the kids will not be for it,” said Charest. But, saying that safety is needed, he said, “We could get a decent deal for the kids. It’s something we need to look at.”
