Snow Day Peabody: Peabody Institute Library Closed
Schools are closed and a parking ban in is effect for Peabody on Friday.

PEABODY, MA — Peabody Public Schools are closed on Friday for the first snowstorm of 2022.
Superintendent Josh Vadala said Thursday the district was canceling school with up to 8 inches of snow expected in Eastern Mass.
Because the state is not counting any remote learning days toward the required 180-day in-person learning requirement this year, the district will have a traditional snow day.

"This will be a good ole fashioned Snow Day," Vadala said. "There will be no remote learning. We hope you and your family can stay safe and healthy."
A parking ban also went into effect at 3 a.m. Vehicles parked on the street after that time will be subject to ticketing and towing.
