St. John's Boys Hockey, Peabody Girls Hockey Pace State Power Rankings
St. John's Prep was ranked No. 1 in Div. 1 boys hockey, while Peabody was No. 7 in Div. 1 girls, in the MIAA power rankings as of Friday.
PEABODY, MA — The St. John's Prep of Danvers boys hockey team and Peabody Veterans girls hockey team were both ranked among the top 10 teams in the state in the most recent MIAA power rankings released on Friday.
St. John's Prep was No. 1 in Division 1 boys hockey with a 9-1-1 record, while Peabody was No. 7 in Division 2 girls with an 11-2 record.
The power rankings are based on a combination of the margin of victory (up to 10 points in a given game) and strength of schedule.

Beverly was ranked No. 11 statewide in Division 1 boys basketball with a 9-4 mark, while the Peabody boys were No. 21 with a 10-2 record.
Marblehead was No. 12 in Division 2 boys basketball with a 7-2 record.

Peabody was ranked No. 28 in Division 1 girls basketball with a sterling 9-1 mark, while Bishop Fenwick was ranked No. 2 in Division 3 at 7-5.
The Marblehead boys hockey team was No. 15 in Division 2 at 6-3-2. Essex North Shore Tech was No. 5 in Division 3 at 12-0-1. Swampscott was No. 17 in Division 4 at 6-4.
Bishop Fenwick was ranked No. 11 in Division 1 girls hockey at 4-6-2, while Beverly was No. 21 at 8-4.
The rankings and record include games reported to the MIAA through Thursday night.
