Stormy Weekend Postpones North Shore Festivals, Events To Rain Dates

Peabody's International Festival, Beverly's Harbor Fest and Swamptober Fest are all moved to this coming weekend.

PEABODY, MA — A weekend of stormy weather put the brakes on the start of the fall festival season across the North Shore with several events postponed to their respective rain dates this weekend.

The Peabody International Festival, Beverly Harbor Fest and Swamptober Fest were among the events delayed one week in hopes of better weather ahead this weekend.

The Peabody International Festival will now be held on Sept. 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Main Street. The event, in its 40th year, includes ethnic food vendors, artwork, an artisan market, music and children's activities.
