Underwear Theft and Other Items From the Peabody Police Log

Strange vandalism, swan call, and a panty raid of sorts.

  • Officers are investigating an incident of vandalism on King Street, reported Monday around 6 p.m. The liner on a pool was sliced and tampons were stuffed in the filter, according to police. Someone had also damaged the fence when they jumped over it.
  • A caller reported an injured swan on the side of Lynnfield Street on Tuesday afternoon. The animal control officer located the swan and said it was not injured.
  • Someone's pumpkin was smashed on Joyce Road on Wednesday around 11:30 a.m.
  • First responders transported a person to the hospital after the person was reportedly passed out on a pool table at a Walnut Street establishment on Wednesday around 2 p.m.
  • A 14-year-old, thin, gray, male cat was reported missing from Washington Street on Wednesday afternoon. "Luch" is not microchipped and is not wearing a collar.
  • One hundred and two bras were reportedly stolen from the Victoria's Secret in the Northshore Mall, valued at approximately $6,000. The incident was reported at 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
