Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?; Breaking and Entering Arrest: Peabody Police

Wednesday, March 9

At 2:14 p.m., there was a report of a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle on Sewall Street.

At 2:55 p.m., there was a report of smoke coming from a basement on Bradford Street as a result of issues with a pellet stove.

At 4:45 p.m., there was a report of dirt bikes in the area and a large amount of trash at the end of the street on Spring Pond Road.

At 4:50 p.m., police arrested David R. McCarthy, 47, of 38 Andover Street in Peabody on a warrant.

At 5:14 p.m., a caller on Bartholomew Street reported that there was a chicken in the road. Police found no animals in the area.

At 6:06 p.m., there was a motor vehicle accident on Andover Street.

At 6:43 p.m., a motor vehicle struck a stone wall between the fifth and sixth holes of the Salem Country Club.

At 10:12 p.m., police arrested Roger C. Oullette, 26, of 36 Cherry Street in Danvers and charged him with breaking and entering in the daytime to commit a felony, receiving stolen property over $250, and on warrants.

Thursday, March 10

At 10:50 a.m., there was a hit and run motor vehicle accident in Peabody Square.

At 12:08 p.m., police arrested Abraham Diaz-Mowe, 24, of 13 Keys Drive in Peabody and charged him with the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding in violation of a special regulation.
