Wintry Weather Cancels All Peabody After School Events Monday

Schools will be dismissed at the regularly scheduled time Monday with rain forecast to change to snow.

PEABODY, MA — A swath of wintry weather forecast for Monday afternoon caused the cancellation of all afternoon and evening activities at Peabody Public Schools.

The district said the schools will be dismissed at regularly scheduled times, but all after-school extracurricular events, sports and meetings are canceled or postponed.

Passos and FKO will remain open until all students have been picked up.

The potentially most severe snowstorm of the 2022-23 winter will be seen across the state by Monday afternoon, according to forecasts, as rain turns to sleet and then all snow that could be heavy at times.
