• Crews battle house fire in Pembroke (boston25news.com) — Pembroke firefighters knocked down a bathroom fire that spread into the ceiling of a Pleasant Street home Monday afternoon, with backup from Kingston, Marshfield, and Duxbury crews due to limited local staffing. No cause has been released yet, but officials shared photos of firefighters opening the roof as they worked to fully extinguish the blaze.
   

• South Shore teen sentenced for creating, sharing child sex videos (boston.com) — A 19-year-old Pembroke resident has been sentenced to four to five years in prison, plus five years of probation, for creating and sharing child sexual abuse material. The case, handled in state court, involved multiple charges related to child exploitation and secretly photographing a nude person.
   

• James Gunn, Jaylin Roux-Gomes shine in defeats for respective teams (capecodtimes.com) — Pembroke’s high school team topped Dennis-Yarmouth/Cape Cod Academy/St. John Paul II, 6–2, in the Gormley Cup Final, with local players from the Cape side still earning praise for strong efforts. The roundup also highlights early-season basketball and hockey results for Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, and several other Cape schools.
