Plymouth Man Shoots At Officers: Police
Plymouth police said a man shot at a woman on Federal Furnace Road then fired at officers.

PLYMOUTH, MA — A Plymouth man shot at a woman on Federal Furnace Road Thursday night then opened fire on officers, according to police. The man, identified as Michael Walsh, 36, was shot by officers then medflighted to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, according to Plymouth Police Chief Michael Botieri. No officers were injured.
The man lives at 622 Federal Furnace Road, Botieri said. At about 6:10 p.m., police received reports the man shot at a woman in a vehicle outside then home. Botieri said the woman sped away as officers responded to the scene. As the officers approached the home, the man burst out and opened fire, Botieri said. The man is expected to face multiple charges.
Walsh is expected to be arraigned in the hospital Friday afternoon, according to WHDH.

The shooting happened about two weeks after a Yarmouth police officer was shot and killed by a career criminal in Barnstable while trying to arrest him for a probation violation, authorities said.
