1 Seriously Injured In Reading Crash On I-93
State police said one person had "potentially fatal" injuries following a two-car crash late Tuesday night.
READING, MA — A woman was seriously injured in a crash on I-93 South Tuesday night, state police said. The crash happened around 9:45 p.m. at Exit 37A near the Reading-Woburn line.
Investigators believe a 2016 BMW X5, driven by a 43-year-old South Boston woman, struck a 2018 Toyota RAV4 from behind in the area between the on- and off-ramps at the I-95 interchange, state police said.
The BMW went off the road into the grass infield, struck a concrete light foundation and then hit a guardrail on the edge of the on-ramp before going over the guardrail and into a wooded embankment.
