2 Charged In Reading Drugs, Weapons Case, Police Say
The pair had "multiple pairs of brass knuckles," as well as quantities of fentanyl and crack cocaine, according to police.
READING, MA — Two people were charged in a drug-dealing case recently in Reading, according to police.
Police received a report Oct. 19 at 9:07 a.m. of a person who appeared to be under the influence standing outside a vehicle in a commercial parking lot near the intersection of Main and Franklin streets.
Police arrived and found a Toyota Camry and two people, one inside the car and the other asleep outside of it.

Police determined that both people were under the influence. In a search of the car, police said they found drug paraphernalia, multiple pairs of brass knuckles, and two bags totaling 21.3 grams of a powdery substance, believed to be heroin/fentanyl.
William Lambert, 34, of Biddeford, Maine, and Noelle Hanson, 33, of Waterboro, Maine, were charged with trafficking of a class A substance (heroin, fentanyl), possession of a class B substance (crack cocaine), possession of a dangerous weapon, and distribution near a school zone.

Hanson was also charged on a warrant with fugitive from justice in a case originating from Maine.
The pair was arrested without incident. Hanson was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
Both were arraigned Monday. Hanson was then transferred to Massachusetts Trial Court custody.
