Acceptance for All Awareness Concert in North Reading

The North Reading Gay-Straight Alliance will be holding their 1st annual Acceptance for All Awareness Concert at Ipswich River Park.

On Saturday, June 23rd, the North Reading Gay-Straight Alliance will be holding their 1st annual Acceptance for All Awareness Concert at the Gazebo at from 5:00 to 9:00pm! We hope to promote awareness surrounding LGBT issues and provide a night of fun for all ages with youth bands and influential speakers from North Reading and surrounding areas.

There will be food, henna tattoos, and glitter hair! Various local bands and singers such as Leanne McNall, Janelle Yull, and other artists including Ryan Maguire, Mercedes Starr, and Jimmy Corbett will perform.

Speakers from different walks of life will be telling their stories, such as North Reading’s Rita Mullin and the Episcopal Cathedral of Boston group, “The Crossing;” among others.

There is no entrance fee; however veggie burgers, hot dogs, and chips, as well as drinks will be sold. There will be handmade crafts available for purchase. The rain date will be Sunday, June 24th.

This concert was organized by the youth of North Reading Youth Services’ Gay-Straight Alliance. We would like to thank all of our performers and speakers for volunteering their time. We would also like to genuinely thank Parks & Recreation for offering their parks and equipment to us and their constant willingness to help Youth Services.
