Police are investigating after a man jumped from the window of a Prescott Street home with apparent stab wounds and fled in a waiting car.
READING, MA — Police are investigating after a man fled a home in Reading with apparent stab wounds Friday morning.
Officers were called to Prescott Street around 8:30 a.m. by a person who reported hearing yelling coming from the home. The caller then saw a man jump from a window and flee in a car that was waiting outside, police said.
The man was found sitting on the sidewalk about a block away near the car. He had deep lacerations and multiple cuts, which investigators believe were caused by a knife and broken glass from the window, police said.
