Reading, MA - This year’s annual plant sale will take place the Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Reading Town Common. The Reading Garden Club, which sponsors the event, will again be joined by members of Arts Reading, a group of interested and creative citizens who represent local cultural organizations in an effort to promote and enhance the creative economy in Reading.

“It is good to see the town’s cultural groups and Garden Club working together again this year,” said Reading Town Manager Bob LeLacheur. “I am pleased to see that the event will again take place at Reading Town Common, as the increased visibility last year led to record plant sales. I urge all residents to stop by and visit with the cultural groups and check out the plants – there is plenty of parking at Town Hall or behind the CVS store.”
In prior years, the sale was held at the Reading Library which is being remodeled and is currently under construction. Arts Reading is actively meeting and the group hopes to be present at other community events this year.
