Bank Robbery and Armed Robbery Under Investigation in Reading
Police are investigating separate incidents on Monday: An unarmed bank robbery and the armed robbery of a delivery driver.

Reading, MA - Police are investigating two separate robberies that happened in Reading on Monday afternoon.
Different descriptions were given for the suspects in each robbery.

The first was an unarmed robbery at Santander Bank at 228 Main Street shortly before 1 p.m.
The suspect in that robbery was described as being a white male approximately late 30's/early 40's in age, 6 feet tall, short brown/light colored hair, wearing a dark green colored hooded jacket, grey sweatpants, white sneakers. No note was passed and No weapon was shown at the bank.

The second incident was the armed robbery of a delivery driver with a gun on Ash Street at 1:42 p.m.
Responding Officers located the victim, a delivery driver who was delivering goods to a local business when he was confronted by an unknown suspect with a hand gun. The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 30-35 years old, 5'8" - 5'10" tall, and wearing a black winter hat, black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. The suspect was said to be wearing material covering his face below his eyes.
The suspect's weapon was described as a black handgun that looked like a Glock semi-automatic. Reading Police with the assistance of other local agencies and K-9 Officers are attempting to locate this suspect.
