Chimney Fire Reported At Reading Home: Fire Officials

READING, MA — Firefighters extinguished a blaze at a Reading home Monday night. Crews were dispatched to a Lowell Street home on a report of a chimney fire just after 8 p.m., according to a Facebook post from Reading Firefighters Local 1640.

Crews arrived to find fire inside the chimney. Companies simultaneously extinguished the chimney fire while other crews confirmed that no fire extended out of the chimney flue and into the home, according to the post.

There was no extension and there were no injuries.
