Delays, Detours, Closures Planned For Reading Road Work
The town has released information about milling and grinding a Reading road this week.

READING, MA — Please be advised that beginning on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 8:00 P.M., weather permitting, Cassidy Corp. will be milling/grinding the existing roadway pavement on Lowell Street/Route 129 (Bond Street to Causeway Road). The milling/grinding night schedule is 8:00 P.M. to 5:00 A.M.
The milling/grinding operation is expected to take several nights to complete, and will be split into the following segments:

Segment 1: Lowell Street (from Bond Street to approximately 50-ft northwest of Grove Street/Willow Street intersection)
Segment 2: Lowell Street (from approximately 50-ft northwest of Grove Street/Willow Street intersection to Causeway Road)

Delays, detours, and road closures should be expected. If you need your vehicle during this time, please be prepared for potential delays as construction is occurring. Also, all on-street parking will be prohibited and will be strictly enforced by the Reading Police Department.
