Dog Hit by Car on Main Street in Reading

The following is an excerpt from the log from Thursday. The information is open to the public.
Thursday, May 31
- At 8:17 p.m., a caller reported that a dog was hit by a car on Main Street. The dog was taken to the Porter Square Veterinary Hospital in Somerville and had a fractured hip.
- At 10:45 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
- At 3:22 p.m., a caller reported that a group of kids were teasing other kids on Lowell Street. The kids were gone when police arrived.
- At 3:46 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious male who knocked over a shopping cart and was kicking cans around on Main Street. The man was picking up the cans when an officer arrived.
- At 8:54 p.m., a Haverhill Street resident reported finding a Siamese cat. She will keep the cat for a while should the owner try to find him.
