Get some shopping done in New York City on December 3. The Parks and Recreation Department is holding their sixth annual day trip to the city on a luxurious McGinn Motor Coach bus. They will depart from at 7:00 a.m., and arrive at the St Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City at 11:30 a.m. You’re on your own after departing the bus to do what you want. A variety of options are available to New York travelers, you could go see a play, visit a museum, eat at a great restaurant or shop!
Everyone meets at St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 7:00 p.m. for the return trip. On the bus trip back, attendants participate in a “tacky” Yankee Swap. The swap gift is a souvenir bought in the city for under $5.00 to be exchanged with other passengers on the bus, if they choose. An appropriate family movie or romantic comedy will be shown on the return trip. Everyone is back at Ipswich River Park by 11:30 p.m. Register by calling 978-357-5216.
