Where/when: Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading, Friday at 7 p.m. 
Why go: Start of your holiday season by watching kids in grades three to eight, sing, dance and act.

FOOTLOOSE
Where/when: Reading Memorial High School, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. 
Why go: Watch the Reading Memorial High School drama club perform Footloose.

BURBANK YMCA 5K
Where/when: Church St., Wakefield, Saturday at 9 a.m.  
Why go: Participate in the 23rd Annual 5K Classic to benefit the Annual Campaign. The Annual Campaign raises money locally to help members in the communities of Reading, Stoneham, North Reading, Wilmington and Wakefield that are in need. The cost is $15.

RMHS MATTRESS SALE
Where/when: Reading Memorial High School, Saturday at 10 a.m.  
Why go: Buy a mattress at a good price and support the RMHS band.
