PRAY FOR BOSTON
Where/when: Trinity Evangelical Church, Friday at 7 p.m.
Why go: Join the prayer vigil for the recent tragedy at the Boston Marathon.
PIE TIME
Where/when: Flint Memorial Library, Friday at 4 p.m.
Why go: Stop by for refreshments, giveaways and to see Editor Ashley Troutman take a pie in the face for fans and to provide some smiles and laughter after a tough week.

WORK OUT FOR MARATHON VICTIMS
Where/when: Reading Athletic Club, Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
Why go: Help raise money for the men, women and children harmed at the Boston Marathon by pledging your support and working out. Drop in classes cost $10 and all of the proceeds go back to the Marc, JP & Paul Marathon Fund.
DROP IN LEGO CREATION CLUB
Where/when: Reading Public Library, Sunday at 3 p.m.
Why go: Drop-in to build with LEGO blocks. This event is for children ages 5 and up.

SALON SWAP
Where/when: Axle Color Studio, Sunday at 5 p.m.
Why go: The idea is to clean out your closet and trade in your gently worn items in for pieces that are new-to-you. This event is a benefit and will raise awareness for Project Hope.
