Five Things to Know Today: Feb. 11

Your guide to Reading today.

Today is Monday, Feb. 11. Here are five things to know today:

1. The weather. The temperature will reach 41 degrees today with a low of 28. Expect some rain and cloudy skies.

2. Reading CPDC. The CPDC will meet at Reading Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. A Portland Pie Company public hearing and site plan review are on the agenda.

3. Owl Pellet Investigations. Kids in grades three through five are invited to stop by the Mattera Cabin at 6 p.m. to investigate what owls eat. Educator David Williams will lead. Registration is required. Call the Children's Room at the library at 781-942-6705.

4. Art and Music Spectacular registration. Register your child in grades three through eight for the Art and Music spectacular at First Baptist Church. Students will sing, act, and dance alongside portrait artist Rob Surette in a concert. Practices are Wednesday, February 20 from 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday, February 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday, February 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The concert is on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.
