Five Things: Visiting Author in Reading

Today is Thursday, May 2. Here are five things to know today:

1. Weather. The temperature will reach 75 degrees today with a low of 41. Expect partly cloudy skies. 

2. Visiting author. Author Katherine Erskine will discuss her book
Mockingbird, appropriate for students in grades 4 through 7, at the Reading Public Library at 7 p.m. She will talk about creating characters and her writing process. The event is free and open to the public.

3. North Reading Finance Committee. The Finance Committee will meet at North Reading Town Hall at 7 p.m. Reviewing warrant items is on the agenda.

4. Stump Trivia. Stop by the Great American Tavern at 8 p.m. for stump trivia and dinner. 

5. Friends' Night Spring Book Sale. Friends of the Library and those wishing to become a friend are invited to the Spring Book Sale preview at the Flint Memorial Library at 5 p.m.
