Former RMHS Principal Leonard D’Orlando Passes Away

READING, MA — Leonard D'Orlando, former principal of Reading Memorial High School, died Jan. 6. He was 89 years old.

D'Orlando began his education career in Reading in 1958, serving as classroom teacher, department chair and vice principal until he was named principal in 1978, according to his obituary.

He and his wife retired to Yarmouth in 1986, where they spend the remainder of their lives.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapman Funerals & Cremations in Yarmouth. Services will be private for immediate family only.
