Malicious Damage Found at Sears in North Reading

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the  from Wednesday through Thursday. The information is open to the public.

Wednesday, May 30

• At 2:47 p.m., Wakefield Police put out a Be On The Lookout Alert for a man in an Escalade who has warrants and is known to carry a firearm and resist arrest.
• At 5:20 p.m., a caller reported a man yelling and waving his arms at cars driving by him on North Street. The 45-year-old Wimington man was placed in protective custody for being intoxicated in public.
• At 8:39 p.m., a caller reported that someone used his credit card at and charged $150.

Thursday, May 31

• At 1:14 a.m., a caller reported hearing kids near . Police found the kids and sent them on their way.
• At 4:59 a.m., Andover Police put out a BOLO for a reported smash and grab at Royals Jewelers in Andover. The subject should have cut his hand and was around 6 feet tall. The glass cases containing the jewelry were not broken.
• At 7:36 a.m., a caller reported a possible break-in at Sears. Police found that there was not a break-in, but there was malicious damage.
• At 5:37 p.m., a caller reported an unwanted guest taking photos of his home. The man was on scene taking pictures to complete a work order.
• At 7:33 p.m., a caller reported possible ID fraud.
• At 9:25 p.m., an Abbott Road resident reported hearing fireworks.
• At 11:15 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle on Swan Pond Road. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
• At 11:35 p.m., a Southwick Road resident reported a loud party on his street. Police spoke with the kids making the noise. They were playing music by the pool and agreed to go inside.
