Medford Woman Summonsed on Larceny Charges

The following is an excerpt from the Reading Police Department log from Tuesday through Thursday. The information is open to the public.
Tuesday, April 30
- At 7:32 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Lowell Street. No injuries were reported.
- At 7:50 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Salem Street. The accident was minor.
- At 11:59 a.m., a William Road resident reported that his vehicle was rummaged through.

- At 1:22 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Temple Street. No injuries were reported.
- At 4:27 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Salem Street. No injuries were reported.
- At 5:07 p.m., as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Washington Street, a Wilmington male was summonsed on charges of operating without a license, operating unregistered, operating uninsured, attaching plates and an expired inspection sticker.
- At 5:37 p.m., a Salem Street resident reported copper taken from her yard.
- At 5:46 p.m., a caller reported that a Reading Car Care customer drove off without paying for gas. The female customer gave the attendant her credit card and then drove off. The credit card was declined for $69. Police pulled the Medford woman over and she was summonsed on charges of operating with a suspended license and larceny under $250. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Thursday, May 2
- At 6:53 a.m., a caller reported that his vehicle's windshield was smashed overnight.
- At 5:28 p.m., a caller reported youths riding bicycles in and out of traffic on Pleasant Street.
