Meet Your Neighbor: Lindsay Barnes-Felix
Lindsay grew up in North Reading and will soon open Mrs. Felix's Cupcakes.
Name: Lindsay Barnes-Felix
Family: Husband Sean of 14 years, son Chadem age 12, son Ethan age 8 and daughter Madelyn age 4.
Why North Reading?: My family moved to NR when I was age 11, from Nahant, and after having our children, my husband and I decided that NR is where we would like our kids to be raised. The experiences that NR offers with their youth sports (NRLL, NR LAX, NRYFL, Dance, NRYSA) as well as the close safe knit community and of course the school system... there is no where else we would want to be!

Industry: I have just launched Mrs. Felix's Cupcakes and am working towards opening a store front here in NR by the end of the summer!! It's very exciting for my family as well as my friends and the community who continuously support all my efforts.
School: It's really cool to see my children attend the same school's as I did. I was a Bull Dog and NR Junior High School student. After attending until my sophomore year, I attend Our Lady of Nazareth Academy and ultimately graduated through Peabody High School's accelerated graduate program in 1996. I also received two Associates Degrees at Southern New Hampshire University in Accounting and Business/Management and Marketing/Marketing Management.

Hobbies: My hobbies are quite actually linked to all things related to my children. I am their biggest fan cheering them on at every sports event. I enjoy sports photography and have a reputation of forwarding all my team photo's for team families to enjoy. I also enjoy horse back riding, sailing and volunteering for our community.
Favorite Music: I am so glad to say that the wiggles and Kids Bop are no longer played in our home or vehicles. I enjoy a little bit country and a little bit rock n' roll.
Other Interests: Supporting our community is a huge interest of mine, mostly with non profits that actually contribute to those in NR who are really in need and legitimate. I have always shown great interest in our Catholic Faith as well as World Travel.
Favorite Movie: The Note Book and The Blind Side
Favorite book: "The Poisonwood Bible" By Barbara Kingsolver
Favorite Restaurant: Hawthorne By-The-Sea in Swampscott, Ma.
Fun Facts: You can always find me belting out a song and dancing in my car like no one is watching! I am currently accruing hours towards my pilot's license with my son Chadem.
