The 26th Annual Austin Open Golf Tournament will take place at the Indian Ridge Country Club in Andover. Your entry fee ($200 for morning golfers and $225 for afternoon golfers) includes: greens fees, cart, use of driving range and clubhouse, player gifts, breakfast (for morning golfers), lunch and dinner. The morning flight begins at 7 a.m. (registration opens at 6 a.m.), and the afternoon flight begins at 1 p.m. (registration opens at noon). Tuesday, July 30
Word of mouth at the Reading Public Library is a great way to learn about new books and authors. Stop by the library at 10:30 a.m. to join the discussion.
Teen Crafternoon will be held at the library at 3 p.m. The event is open for students in grades six through 12. Students will make their own props and pose in the DIY photo booth.
Wednesday, July 31
Chapter book chats will discuss Chomp by Carl Hiassen this week on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the library. This group is for students entering grades five and six and their parents. Register by calling 781-942-6705. Copies of the book are available in the Children’s Room.
Thursday, August 1
The St. Agnes Church Music Ministry will perform the musical Seussical at the Parker Middle School at 7:30 p.m.
Friday, August 2
The office of Congressman John Tierney will be hosting community office hours at the library at 10 a.m.
