The CodeRED system provides North Reading Town officials the ability to quickly deliver messages to targeted areas or the entire Town of North Reading. The CodeRED system will be used for critical incidents and events where the timely notification of an affected population or geographic area of the Town of North Reading is essential or highly desirable.
Public numbers are automatically populated in the system, however no one should automatically assume his or her phone number is included. The Town of North Reading is urging all individuals and businesses to log onto the Town of North Reading website or the North Reading Police Department website and follow the link to the "CodeRED Community Notification Enrollment" page.

Those without Internet access may call CodeRed at 866-939-0911 to supply their information over the phone. Required information includes first and last name, street address (physical address, no P.O. boxes), city, state, zip code, and primary phone number, additional phone numbers can be entered as well. Residents may also go to the North Reading Police station, Fire Department or Town Hall to fill out an enrollment page.
All businesses should register, as well as all individuals who have unlisted phone numbers, who have changed their phone number or address within the past year, and those who use a cellular phone or VoIP phone as their primary number.
