Liquor License Granted for Portland Pie Company

They hope to open this summer.

The selectmen unanimously passed an all liquor license for Portland Pie Co. Tuesday night. According to Chief Operating Officer Joe O’Neil, they hope to open the eatery in late June. The company is currently in their fourth week of construction.

According to the Community Services Office, the restaurant will be located at 30 Haven St. with a capacity of approximately 190 customers. Portland Pie Co. will offer both dine-in and take out options. They will have both indoor and outdoor seating, however, the owners will need to get special permission for the outdoor seating area, as the sidewalk is owned by the town. That issue will come up again once they are closer to opening. The interior will feature a family dining area and a pub area with a full service bar. Big screen televisions and a gas fireplace will add to the decor.

The eatery will offer a choice of blonde, wheat, basil, beer, garlic and gluten-free basil and honey dough. Customers can also choose to create their own unique pizza, choosing from a selection of sauces, meats, veggies and cheeses.
