Purse Stolen from Wood End Elementary Graduation

The following is an excerpt from the  log from Tuesday through Wednesday. The information is open to the public.

Tuesday, June 12 

  • At 11:27 a.m., a caller reported two suspicious females entering backyards and putting items in a truck. Police spoke with the females and found that the items were scrap metal.
  • At 12:54 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Walkers Brook Drive. No injuries were reported.
  • At 3:17 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Prescott Road. No injuries were reported.
  • At 4:39 p.m., a caller reported that her vehicle was hit while parked on Summer Avenue.
  • At 8:53 p.m., an employee from called to report that another employee had a bottle of wine stashed in her purse. The female was summonsed for larceny under $250 and given a verbal no trespass order.
  • At 10:01 p.m., a caller reported that his car was hit on Ash Street and the other driver fled the scene. Police put out a Be On the Lookout Alert, but were not able to find the other driver.

  • At 10:36 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. A truck hit a tree limb while turning the corner.
  • At 12:09 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Pleasant Street. The senior van hit a parked car.
  • At 2:57 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. The injuries are unknown.
  • At 3:03 p.m., a caller reported a minor car accident on Woburn Street. 
  • At 5:18 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Sreet. No injuries were reported.
  • At 8:10 p.m., an Eaton Street resident reported that a suspicious vehicle drove past his house 10 times. Police spoke with the driver of the vehicle who was teaching his friend how to drive.
  • At 8:29 p.m., as the result of a motor vehicle accident, an officer issued a citation for the possession of a class D substance under one ounce.
  • At 8:30 p.m., a Dunbar Road resident reported a possible phone scam. The caller claimed to be from Reader's Digest and wanted the resident to send a check for $1,000 for prizes.
  • At 10:45 p.m., a caller reported that her purse was stolen from the graduation ceremony at the . The purse contained her credit cards, license and other personal items.
