Readalot in Reading

Summer Reading at the Reading Public Library starts on June 15.

The following was submitted by the Reading Public Library:

The Kingdom of Readalot opens Friday, June 15 at the for all children to join “Castle Quest”, the Children’s Summer Reading Program.

All future knights and ladies are invited to take the challenge and count their reading/listening time- be it with regular books, eBooks, books on CD or Playaways.  Children will stamp their progress toward the castle and participate in weekly raffles.  All finishers will receive their choice of prize books, a paper castle to hang and will be “knighted”!

Reading and listening time will earn participants gold coins which will help others eat through The Greater Boston Food Bank.  Will we make our goal of providing 1000 meals?

Sign up begins June 15 and children will also be able to participate “re-moat-ly” and log their reading time through the Reading Library website.
