Reading Business Owner John Crosby Dies

READING, MA — Local business owner John Crosby, who co-owned J&B Crosby and Company on Haven Street, has died at the age of 89.

Crosby was active in the Reading community. He owned and operated J&B Crosby, a financial accounting and tax company, with his son, Brian, and was a longtime volunteer at the Reading Rotary Club, according to his obituary.

Crosby served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is remembered as a "loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend."

Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of Crosby on Wednesday, March 31 from 4-7 p.m. at the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden Street, Reading.
