Reading Civic Concert Band to Perform Mother's Day Concert
Take your mom to a concert on Mother's Day.
The Reading Civic Concert Band (RCCB) will perform a Mother's Day concert on May 12 at 3 p.m. at the Wood End School, according to the Chronicle. The RCCB is a non-profit band that consists of 30 volunteers, the Chronicle said.
The show is titled "RCCB Plays Between the Lines" and will incoorporate a behind the scenes look at the concert preparation, the Chronicle said. Director Lucinda Ellert will fuse humor, audience participation and education into the show. According to the Chronicle, the goal of this performance is to encourage kids to play music and to play for their whole lives. Attendants will learn about instruments, rehearsals, musicians and conductors.
The cost is $12 at the door, students and seniors pay $8. The costs are offset by the sponsors, local businesses, and First Congregational Church of Reading.
