Reading Downtown Art Walk Gets Underway

The Downtown Reading Art Walk has roughly 70 pieces of artwork on display at 19 locations around Reading.

READING, MA — Reading’s annual Downtown Art Walk initiative is back this year, displaying various artworks throughout the downtown area through next month.

The project launched this year on Sept. 10. Art will remain on display through Oct. 17.

Supported by the Reading Cultural Council and the Massachusetts council, the project showcases roughly 70 submitted artworks at 19 different locations. Organizers have credited the town of Reading and local business owners who host exhibits with further supporting the project.

The Downtown Reading Art Walk traces its roots back to 2019, where it grew from arts programming associated with that year’s Reading 375 celebrations, as noted in a history on the Art Walk website.
